Spectacled Bear Conservation

My journey with SBC began in 2014 when I started selling Feltis in my toy store in Squamish, BC. I've always been passionate about wildlife and community, and over time, I fell in love with the connection between these handcrafted pieces, the incredible women who make them, and the bears they help protect. In 2022, I officially joined the SBC team as Felti Sales Manager, and I’ve been proud to help grow this meaningful work ever since.

Each Felti is handmade by Indigenous women in northwestern Peru through SBC’s alternative livelihood program. They’re created using a dry-needle felting technique and made from 100% wool, with a simple cotton string for hanging. Every piece is full of character, care, and purpose.

When you buy a Felti, you’re not just getting a beautiful ornament—you’re supporting bear conservation and helping women in remote communities earn a sustainable income, care for their families, and preserve their traditional way of life. It’s an honour to be part of this mission.
