Our company, Chil-Lei Oil Inc was founded in the pursuit of creating the perfect chili oil. The idea for our product SunKei chili oil came from our struggle to find a chili oil that ticked all the boxes. Most store-bought versions lacked the heat, the flavor, the right texture, or contained ingredients we didn’t love. So, Peggy began experimenting and developed her own version just for Alex, one that met every requirement for the perfect chili oil made with love. Our goal and mission is to share our love for a quality spicy yet flavorful chili oil with as many people as possible.

SunKei Chili Oil was created in the pursuit of the perfect chili oil by owners Peggy and Alex – A chili oil that is aromatic, spicy, and full of flavor. Crafted with high quality ingredients like freshly fried shallots and garlic, freshly crushed dried Thai chilis, and a blend of spices to create a versatile flavorful spicy chili oil that elevates everything from noodles, to dumplings, to pizza, to eggs, and even alfredo pasta.
SunKei Chili Oil is made in small batches using a wok to impart that signature “wok hei”, a depth of unique flavor that is missing in mass-produced alternatives. We fry our shallots and garlic fresh for each batch to ensure maximum aroma and richness. To guarantee heat, we source whole dried Thai chilis and crush them before every batch, as pre-crushed chilis simply don’t deliver the same punch. Our product is vegan friendly, nut free, and is proudly made in Vancouver at a local commissary kitchen.
